Alivar originated
in 1984 inspired by the creative works of modern design masters
of the 60's which could only be seen in museums or specialized reviews.
The concept of Alivar Museum is to group into a single collection
all the masterpieces which are considered part of the history of
furniture design. Today Alivar Museum represents the biggest collection
of modern furniture classics produced by a single company: a leadership
which Alivar is proud to maintain.
In 1994, the
Alivar Museum collection was further enhanced by the Alivar Gallery
collection featuring contemporary products, new elements of the
most understated and basic style, for both domestic and public settings.
As the third
millennium approaches, Alivar is involved in the presentation of
a new collection named Brilliant furniture, coordinated by Rari
(Bruno Rainaldi and Sergio Riva), a collection which is inspired
by the traditional aesthetic concept of rationalism; the elements
have been realized using new materials and original color combinations,
to give modern living a new feel, whether in domestic or public
settings.
Alivar's newest
collection is called Home Project and is a dramatic example of Alivar
designing the third millennium.
Although not
immediately apparent, Alivar's quality is the result of detailed
analysis of technical production. All raw material used for the
framework, steel, iron and wood are tested within the company which
is quality certified UNI EN ISO 9002. All Alivar products come with
a lifetime guarantee.
Alivar's references
are numerous and evidence of the quality and technical accuracy
of the pieces produced. Alivar's furnishings are featured at Harvard
University, the Grand Hotel Valencia Palace, Hotel "Le Meridien
Lingotto" in Torino, Villa Tugendhat in Brno, the Willow Tea
Room in Glasgow, Exhibition "BAUHAUS stadt", and the Hotel
Kensington in London, to name a few.
